Cold mirrors are a special dichroic filter that reflects the visible energy and transmits the infrared energy. Here are some of our cold mirrors with broader reflectance bandwidths than our standard CMP product. These mirrors were designed for specific applications where the cutoff slopes needed to be at different wavelengths. While these mirrors are designed for 45° and for average polarization, we can design for your angle requirements.
The
average reflection is greater than 98% and the absolute reflection is 96%
from 410nm to 690nm at 45° for average polarization.
Note that this coating is designed to pass heat at wavelengths above 780nm.
This
is another broad cold mirror with absolute reflection greater than 96% from
440nm to 650nm at 45° for average polarization
with the 50% point at 710nm. Transmission remains excellent through 2500nm.
