Waterjet Capabilities
Waterjet technology is today’s fastest-growing fabrication tool. PG&O’s new abrasive waterjet cutting system produces finely cut, net-shaped parts with satin-smooth edges, eliminating heat-affected zones, heat distortion, or mechanical stresses.
Annealing
Put an end to stress. Our specialized Annealing techniques enable us to decrease the stress load on your parts.
Blanchard Grinding
Rotary surface grinders have been the backbone of the optics industry for years. Our grinders hold tolerance levels to ±.002”.
Centerless Grinding
When diameters must be tighter than ±.001”, you can depend on our Centerless Grinding to hold tolerance levels to an incredible ±.0001”.
CNC Machining
Our state of the art CNC Machining Centers can generate parts having unusual shapes, holes, and grooves as large as 20” x 50”. Tolerances can be held to ±.0005”.
CP Grinding & Polishing
With capabilities up to 20”Ø we typically achieve flatnesses to λ/20, parallelism to 1 arc second and tolerances to ±.0005”.
Custom Component Assembly
We offer expert assembly -- from simple cementing of optics to advanced opto-mechanical assemblies.
Dbl-Sided Grinding & Polishing
Perhaps the most cost-effective way to polish glass. We hold tolerance levels to ±.0005”
Drilling
Our sophisticated technology allows us to drill holes from .030”Ø to 36”Ø, with tolerances to ±.0005”.
ID & OD Grinding
We can generate diameters as large as 36”Ø and tolerances to ±.001”.
Optical Grinding & Polishing
Utilizing the power of our Strasbaugh grinding and polishing machines, we can accommodate up to 36”Ø while holding tolerances to ±.002”.
Optical Thin Film Coating

Sawing
Our diamond bandsawing capabilities can reach up to 18” thick.
Scribing
Our specialized computer-controlled glass scribing machine enables us to modify simple squares, rectangles, and circles into complex shapes. Tolerances can be held to ±.001”
